Greetings to our friends, followers, and those who accidentally stumbled upon this page while searching the web for information about black holes. We are Advent Horizon, and we are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of our 4th full length studio album "Falling Together". ​

 

In the summer of 2024, Mike (the drummer) and I spent each Monday in the mountains of northern Utah U.S.A., armed with cold drinks, a fishing pole, and a guitar. We passed countless hours around a lake in the Uinta Mountain Range, chatting about life, the universe, and everything (not the Douglas Adams book, though that did probably make its way into the conversation at some point). As we talked, I sat, guitar in hand, and allowed my fingers to find their way to whatever melody felt right in the context of our conversation. And thus, the majority of the songs on this album were born.

For me personally, these songs have been a look inside myself. An introspection into my past, my present, and my future. An attempt at putting into words my feelings about my religious upbringing and my gradual path away from organized religious beliefs over the past decade. I did not write these songs with the intent to pull people away from their religion, but rather to encourage listeners to look outside the bubble that they were born into and take in all the amazing possibilities that this world has to offer.

Writing, recording, and performing these songs has brought great joy to my life. I sincerely hope that they can bring some measure of joy to someone else out there as well.
